About ControlPay Global Freight Audit and Payment
ControlPay is, with a growing staff, the largest freight audit provider in Europe. The history of our business goes back to the year 1969, with the start of a logistics consulting company resulting in different ventures in logistics and transportation until we decided to redefine Freight Audit & Payment at the start of the century. Nowadays, ControlPay supports many large multinationals with complex logistics structures in their needs for control of freight costs and invoices flow.
For all of its customers, ControlPay works with dedicated resources. This way the work can be better organized in a closed loop and information and knowledge stays with the account team. In the team, all people know each process and are skilled in processing each mode of transport and know the specifics of logistics. Each Auditor in ControlPay goes through a rigorous process of training, learning on the job and logistics courses. Moreover, all our audit and IT personnel are university educated and typically have a linguistics background. They will have the responsibility of managing the data upload process, overall process management, managing the issues and analyzing them, rate update management and follow-up with the customer and carrier. They will also create reports and manage KPI’s.

The Tools and Technology
There are many controls in place to make sure the data can be used, is correct and valid to be used. We share best practice wherever possible and try to make the process as light and secure as possible for the customer and carriers involved. In 2015, ControlPay successfully completed a Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagement No. 16 (SSAE16 or SOC 1) Type 2 audit for its Freight Invoice Audit-system.
