Amazon Air to expand Chicago Rockford operation

Amazon Air is expanding its Chicago operations, Air Cargo News reports. An additional 120,000sq ft will be taken by the e-commerce giant at Chicago Rockford International. The airport will pump $11m into developing the new facility for Amazon, and it should become operational by next July. The gateway also recently completed a $10m project to expand the number of parking spaces for Amazon’s aircraft, from three to eight.
