“CSX Corporation today announced third quarter 2019 net earnings of $856m, or $1.08 per share, versus $894m, or $1.05 per share in the same period last year (an earnings per share increase of 3 percent). CSX’s operating ratio set a new company record of 56.8 percent, improved from 58.7 percent in the prior year.” – CSX, 16 October 2019.
